Marriage The BombA Poem by gr8naynayhehehe I love this poem. Its mocking but I think I really feel this way.I wonder if to settle is to throw my life away.
If never really loving is such a terrible price to pay.
They say, "have faith and wait."
They say one day my love with come,
But how do you learn to live for two,
When you've been living for one?
I though I was in love once,
and I learned that I thought wrong.
Some of his things still take up space,
but the man is now long gone.
I stayed up nights remembering us,
Yes many tears were shed.
But soon I was relieved.
I never missed him in my bed.
What's the point of waiting for a man who'll make me cry?
In beliving an idea that 's proved, to me, to be a lie?
Is love worth all the changes, therapy, and compromise?
Marriage: a ticking time-bomb counting down to my demise.
