The Terrible LightA Poem by gr8naynayHeart breakI walked in the rain; I got mud on my shoes--
I was soaked to the bone thinking of you.
I was trying to lose the light that I found,
But like a puppy I fed, it followed me around.
And it loved me,
I loved me,
and then I loved you...
Now I'm standing in a puddle with mud on my shoes
Looking up at a window that used to be yours;
Holding on to a key yo a bolted door.
Everything I had I've lost again,
Except this terrible light I once called my friend.
Does it mock me?
Does it hate me?
There's only one thing I know:
I wish I'd never seen what it had to show.
Then I wouldn't treasure a key
and a darkened window.
