Reminiscing the streets of Mexico City

Reminiscing the streets of Mexico City

A Poem by Felix Soto
"

memories of mexico when i was a kid

"
Walking on the streets of Mexico
Having somewhere to go
Mechanical animals roaring and rolling past me
They can engender you into an amputee

Animals spitting out venomous flumes into the air
No clean oxygen to breathe anywhere
Smokey flumes dancing in open space
With a robust ballernia's grace

Trash of all sorts strumble upon my feet
A Coca-Cola can, newspapers, and the wrapper of a delicious treat
Children begging like a dog without it's bone
Hunger within them causes them to moan

The phoenix-colored sun is flying away
Morning to night and night to morning, echoes everyday
Stray dogs bark their pains all night
People of the city must carry on with all their might
