that tech though

green grass grows

foreign affairs

a shift in gear

the faceless voids

zero calories

salt water floods

a life destroyed

Author's Note

Written at a homeless shelter when I felt like my world was stripped from me. I feared for my mental health during this time and this is a shocking reminder of the crippling ability of depression for me. My thoughts never surpassed the length of each line, and each line carries it's own series of events that I hope to never re-live. Never again do I want to experience faceless voids, I love you all! I miss my dog (he is ok)

This is quite intriguing... and sad!
It starts out with a semblance of life, a potential for happiness to a life of emptiness...
I like the contrast from "a kingdom in a barn" to "a kingdom in ashphault".

In the span of one month! I've read your work and I believe that you were with a similar type of person as I was. Substance abuse and self loathing consumed her, and through our love consumed me as well. "A life gone right" would have to be one of the last lines in the overall struggle we had trying to just keep our heads above water from the day we met. It was like we finally made it, and then this... "poem"?
