Abolish thinking

Thinking is easy
Acting is difficult
Putting thoughts, into action
Makes it most difficult

Those who don’t think
Also find Life, easy
For another reason
 ‘I am confused, I think’

Thinking isn’t bad
When you have it right
 ‘Don’t think’ while living
‘Thinking’, you aren’t living

 Often mind indulges in
 ‘Point to point’ thinking
Drifting, from idea to idea
Smart one, directs thinking at Will

 What we think, we become
Create ‘Our Little World’
  What are we today is
Resultant thoughts of Yesterday

   Perception is how we look
N structure our world
  Thinking involves moving
From knowledge, to a better one

 Purpose of thinking
Is to abolish thinking
  By creating patterns
Creating familiar roads

  When mind becomes, uncreative
We need to back-track
  Change pattern to pattern
Action of watchful mind

  Thinking isn’t intelligence
A matter, determined only by genes
   It’s a skill, like driving a car
Be a wise one, think well

  Highly intelligent ones
Aren’t always good thinkers
  Often they become preys
Caught in ‘Intelligence traps’

   Intelligent, take a view
Then use intelligence to defend it
  Prove someone else is wrong
Why seek out or listen to any!

  Thinking requires courage
Rather than intelligence
  A confident one, doesn’t prove
Others are wrong or himself right

  He is willing to listen
Seeking, a new idea or new path

Isn't thinking abstract action? And isn't thinking the highest thing we do as humans? is thinking easy? Often we seem to act without thinking clearly. Was Iraq light thought through properly? I like this piece very much as it makes me ... think. I sense you are right about transferring thought into action, or rather results. Many writers probably think wonderfully, but few ever get beyond it.

Wow ... I'm not really sure where my mind is after reading this. This is a good look into what thinking can or cannot produce.

Uau! We say and very proudly that we are "thinking animals", but what we see most of the time is just the "follow the leader", the "copy and past" (and that is almost all we learn at school!), repeting the same old things and "values" with out stoping to think about what we are saying! Thinking is so rare that sometimes i ask myself why do we have mins for!!! :)
"He is willing to listen
Seeking, a new idea or new path" - Aplauses from this side of the world!

You are making me think too hard. :) Actually it is a great message here. I especially like the part where you talk about the intelligent not necessarily being great thinkers. I've known quite a few like that. Book smart, but no street smarts. Good job here.

I love the word play you use, and the message that you create using words. Keep writing!

Much thinking hath made thee mad.....an old quote, but one which you mirror here quite well

"Caught in intelligence traps" - what a great line! Haven't we all known people whose intellectual gymnastics did not liberate them but rather entrapped them - a bit like a narcissist lost in an infinite hall of mirrors! Overall, this was quite enjoyable.
