“WILL” isn’t obstinacy

Obstinate! at bottom n weak 

Can’t control thoughts

Lack sense of proportion

 

Disciplined “Will” enable

“Down n out”, battle again

Not making such effort

Make one a shallow

 

It’s intensely powerful

Yet, temporary boost

A one-shot thruster, burst

Overcome inertia, create momentum

 

It’s concentration of force

To get difficult things done

Control harmful impulses

Overcome laziness, procrastination

 

“Willpower” is your ability

Arriving at a decision

Set a course of action

N say “Engage”

 

Thoughts inevitably lead

On decisive speech n action

Fail, deciding or acting on

Sure sign of weak “Will”

 

Lack of free “Will “

A lack of self discipline

Way to disaster, viruses flourish

Bad habit n justification

 

Isn’t child’s play!

Holding ones head erect

Hearts unshaken

Mark “Will” n human worth

 

True sign of difference

Successful n that isn’t

Isn’t skill or knowledge

Rather lack of “Will” power

 

 

All fail, sometime or other

Weak sinks brooding over

Stronger plods with smile on

Count them lessons learnt

 

Battling “Will” control

Isn’t in doing positive acts

Is in refusing to do them

Not yielding to temptations

 

Knowing perfectly well

Do things we ought not

Not doing things we ought to

Call it weak “Will”, lack of prudence

 

“Will” isn’t physical

It’s more intricate

Nicer mind balancing

Sign of true life

 

Think, let it be right

“Act of will” a choice

Suppression of desire

Seeing larger than self

 

A fine victory

Isn’t conquering mountains

Keeping emotions in check

By conquering of the self
