A Trip ApartA Poem by IanCJYour avoidance makes me feel like a lost little kid.
Why does it have to be like this?
Where instead of shivering, I’ve swapped places with you And been left to melt alone. As I lay alone in the desert, All a passerby would see Is a desperate little kid, Out of breath and screaming, Unable to listen to reason. I don’t know why it has to be like this. I don’t know why I have to get used to something new, And why I couldn’t have the same curse as before. Why did you leave me alone? What’s so great about snow anyways? © 2022 IanCJ |
