Stabbed In The Back

Stabbed In The Back

A Poem by Dylan Cook

You could have been a good friend

But turned into my enemy in the end

You stabbed me with a knife in the back

But I'll let the universe pay you back

I don't believe in any type of revenge

It will send me reeling around the bend

My life would be consumed with hate

And only serve to simply aggravate

You could have been a good friend

But turned into my enemy in the end

You stabbed me with a knife in the back

But I'll let the universe pay you back

Karma will certainly come I know in time

Until then I will keep my peace of mind

I won't let you win this round of the game

It will just lead me to the same old pain

You could have been a good friend

But turned into my enemy in the end

You stabbed me with a knife in the back

But I'll let the universe pay you back

Ah yes the good old karma :)

Don't we all face it from time to time ...
But better hope we don't because it can be a b***h ;)
