Without You

Without You

A Poem by Dylan Cook

 Losing someone you love

Tests who we are made of

 We are vulnerable and afraid

It's the decisions that were made

Without you I feel like a fool

Without you the world is cruel

I can't do anything at all

It was pride before the fall

It's so hard now just to breathe

My feelings inside seem to seethe

You're my one and only relief

 From this ever present grief

Without you I feel like a fool

Without you the world is cruel

I can't do anything at all

It was pride before the fall

This is about my recent break up with my boyfriend. I am over this grief...but I had to get it out

I'm sorry to hear about your break-up, though it seems it was a long time ago...
This was a very expressive piece. Wonderfully written, though very sad.
