Regenerate

Regenerate

A Poem by Dylan Cook

Like secretary birds stomping on their prey which are snakes

The tyrants of this world destroy freedom and raise the stakes

But like the snakes that shed their shiny, shiny sleek skin

We will rear our heads and begin again and again and again

Rise and regenerate

We can collaborate

Make a new way of living

Free of greed and hate

The Bush administration takes over the whole entire earth

Taking without asking the rights of mothers who give birth

Taking away rights of gays to marry and be of equal worth

It takes away blessings and turns them into awful curses

 Rise and regenerate

We can collaborate

Make a new way of living

Free of greed and hate
