Microcosm of The World

Microcosm of The World

A Poem by Dylan Cook

Microcosm of The World
By Dylan Ellis Cook

It is a microcosm of the amazing sacred world
Within its borders the beaty is slowly unfurled
But why should we get quite so egocentric yet
History is something we shouldnt just forget

We wouldnt be here if it werent for those others
While being proud lets remember our beloved brothers
And our sacred sisters, fathers and mothers of antiquity
They planted the seed and gave us the precious opportunity

To form our own country according to our desires
Free from tyranny and the dangerous political mires
So be grateful to your ancestors and honor them now
Because without them we wouldnt be here anyhow

We wouldnt be here if it werent for those others
While being proud lets remember our beloved brothers
And our sacred sisters, fathers and mothers of antiquity
They planted the seed and gave us the precious opportunity

America has the best and the worse inside its borders
It has blessings and the curses of the ancient explorers
Nothing comes without a price and sometimes its just right
But sometimes the just fall and gives way to the fist of might

We wouldnt be here if it werent for those others
While being proud lets remember our beloved brothers
And our sacred sisters, fathers and mothers of antiquity
They planted the seed and gave us the precious opportunity
