Ode To Brigid

Lady Brigid Goddess of fire
With your poetic words you inspire
You fuel our hopes and our dreams;
cause poets to aspire
Of you we can never ever tire

Be with us now as the earth is reborn anew
Inspire us to create the old from the new
To our dreams let us always be ever true
And let the hardships always be few

If there must be a hardships, if there must be
a battle to fight
Give me the skill and a weapon and of insurmountable might
To protect me from the hardships and from all plight
For you are Goddess of The Forge and we will prevail
through the long winter's night
