No More

A Poem by AaRen Lee
"

Again, another relationship poem... I couldn't sleep last night, so I wrote it... Relationships are quite troubling are they not?

"

No More

Sometimes, I see myself, from the perspective of my soul.

Depersonalization, you may laugh, but it plays an alerting role.

The way I see myself, behaving in this pathetic act,
Why do I still keep holding on, when there is option to contract?

I’m a coward, scared and threatened by the lurking of isolation.
I try to forgive, I try to forget, yet still bewildered with provocation.

Mistake it was, now I’m fixing it up, pretend it never occurred.
From your memory, forget my face, let your senses keep it blurred.

I’m halfway deep through the eternal hole, the abyss from which I will not return,
I’m crying out, why don’t you care? Your attention I do so yearn.

I’m drowning deeper and I see your face, filled with deep regret.
With a final goodbye, I close my eyes in the black hole; let my body set.

Greet like strangers, regard with amnesia, it’s the easiest way.
I loved you, I hated you, I missed you I said, now no more can I say.

A very deep poem mate. I read it twice. I really loved this passage:

'Mistake it was, now I’m fixing it up, pretend it never occurred.
From your memory, forget my face, let your senses keep it blurred.'

The emotions you feel at that point in time when you wrote this vent in your work. I found it very powerful.
