losing

losing

A Poem by gomomoko

i thought i was young,

but it shakes me, i’m old now.

my heart beats the same but

my brain starts to slow down.

my youth is still here,

yet lingers mostly beyond me.

i savor quick glances of a time that i can’t see,

despite being in its present.

I truly Loved your emotions in your poem...its true, when you get older, it feels like everything you know and learned...becomes useless, and we have to pick ourselves up to relearn things...the process of life...it gets better, as you make it so...positive thinking...and soon, self realization sets in that age is nothing of a number...live life to the fullest. :)

Excellent write.

About
20 years on this Earth and still haven't learned a damned thing. I suppose my writing reflects common thoughts one would have at this age, but that's not to say those thoughts should be dismissed. .. more..
