Bouncing Ball

Bouncing Ball

A Poem by goldie uttamchandani

Hello rock bottom

I don’t remember inviting you

I don’t need an invitation

I am your medication

Well now that you’re here

Let’s get one thing clear

I don’t need you, I have no fear

You are so wrong my dear

You have nothing to fear

But I really need to be here

Explain to me why is that

All you do is cause me pain

Unnecessary strain

I’m running with knives and sticks behind me

Chaos and clouds surround me

I make you almost drown

Leave your comfort zone crown

Only… so you can slow down

Reboot only happens after systems shut down

Is there no other way for me to slow down?

Avoid the drama

The melt down

The sky is not always blue

You need to see it black

Let the light penetrate through your cracks

You have forgotten to breathe

Relax

You treat me like a ball

Bounce me up and down

I keep hitting the ground

You enjoy kicking me around?

I’ll drop you harder every time

So you can bounce back higher

This is my only desire
