Spaces

Spaces

A Poem by goldie uttamchandani
"

answers in the blank

"

An empty chair at a dinner table

A clean plate holding just a name label

The frustration of the missing piece in a puzzle

Even numbers don’t work for a cascade juggle

Taking a pause to prevent the horribly wrong

Being alone to truly to know where you belong

A disguised distance to play along

A mental block before you know the words to the song

A heart has holes too

Spaces that were once filled by another’s glue

You feel emptiness

Through and through

In these hollows we find lightness

Questions at first

Later become our answers

An empty space is an opportunity

The silent punch line

Remedy to emotional immunity
