You're Free [DRAFT]

You're Free [DRAFT]

A Poem by FunnyMan
"

This is a poem I made for my deceased friend, Andrew Romando. I usually don't write poems, but this is an exception.

"
You're free from your bonds
Escaped from your chains
Out to a place
Where freedom reigns
I cannot follow your steps
So where to start
Look at my soul
And see the scars

You're free from your faults
Extinguished your flame
Forced from this hell
Pushed into fame
You will never be lost
Remembered by pain
Sent to the gray
It's all the same

Hold me together
Piece by piece
Broken apart
By your lasting sleep
Death does not choose
It simply kills all
Just wait to die
Now just wait to fall

Please sing us your song
Soothe all our pain
Your friends will not leave
So keep us all sane
Leave all your days
And leave us your stains
To remember your life
So you don't fade away

I like the beginning, it's sweet, sad, and almost regretful. The poem has a gentle pace which suits the topic and feelings portrayed through your words. It was terrible, what happened to Andrew . . . horrible. I never met him, but he seems like he was a great person, and I think it's wonderful that you're writing this.
