I am aiming to change your perspective and outlook on everything. Whether this is a positive or negative goal, I don't know.
Have you ever given time to change your perspective of life? Have you ever looked at the world how it actually is? The human mind shapes and controls everything around it, creating a reality that is actually false. Most people view humans as superior to other creatures, but the reality is that humans are nothing other than beasts that prowl around the world trying to leave their pitiful mark, thinking that it actually matters. John Greene wrote in The Fault In Our Stars, “We’re as likely to hurt the universe as we are to help it, and we’re not likely to do either.”
The ultimate goal for most people is to change the world in some way, shape or form. This seems reasonable from the surface, but after delving deeper into the science of humans and life itself, the goal is pitiful and useless. Humans are bundles of neurotransmitters and communicative chemicals that pretend to exist as an important asset to the universe, and act upon this deceiving mindset. Nothing that humans will or can do is going to impact the universe in the way that we think it will. We are dust in a sandstorm, pretending to be noticed.
Although I believe humans are ultimately nothing, I still believe in human dignity and purpose. We should still maintain morals and support others in everyday life, because we still are animals of a pack and our pack makes us believe that this is the way life should be lived. Humans still feel instinctively important, so to deny this feeling and live like your own and other's lives are nothing, is to deny your own nature. Do not eat from the tree of life because of knowledge.
Your flow is nice overall, the way that you tell it. Starting with a quote, telling us what is the truth, or what you find to be the truth. Existentialism is prominent here, really we do place ourselves above others because we're Human Beings, a million years of evolution or more just to get to us!
If you'll allow me to play the devils advocate I could easily that we can change the world by changing our society which is our world one can change the world. However I'm not here to argue. But you did an awesome job acknowledging the opposing side in the closing.
I guess the only negative comment I could make here would be that your quote somewhat clashes with your second paragraph, John Green in that quote is saying we could change the world if we wanted to through great harm or help but in the second paragraph you appear to saying that we can't do that. We can't change anything and the pursuit of it is useless.

I like this. It's quite truthful, everything has an equal but an oppossite reaction, and we will never know the complete reaction. That fact is horrifying, too. I like writers who are aware of human imperfections. The piece is quite inspiring. It conjured all my angry thoughts about the human race and society. Well done. I want more.

Hi, it's me :) And I definitely think you hit many good points in this, I especially like the one about the human minds shaping a false reality, and I love the use of the John Greene quote, it fits perfectly. My only question would be if you wanted to make it a bit longer, but other than that, it's great. The flow is fine, it goes along nicely, and yes, it is a very cool picture.
I hope to read more of your writing soon!

I was wondering if you think that possibly, if faced with what is happening to our world in the patterns of humanity, humans could change. Could society's eyes be pried open? And if they were, would it help?
I'm an extremely opinionated writer that edges on the side of hating humans. If you are easily angered, I advise you to leave this page. Otherwise, have fun!
