Simple Love Declaration

What is Love? Is it a game? Do you not lose when you love someone and someone doesn't love you back...?

A girl walks up to a boy she had invited to wait for her.

"I love you" she declares, with her heart in her hand.

The boy smiles wryly. 

"Walk with me" he tells her.

The boy walks, keeping some distance from the girl who moves with a slower, careful pace. With her head lowered, she watches

the boy's back.

At the end of the road he stops...

He turns around with the same wryly smile, looking at her he say: 

"You lost" he says, leaving the girl surprised... "You fell in love with me, so you automatically lose this game we call

love..."

The girl is devastated and speechless. She had gotten the answer...

But then his expression lightened, but remained saddened. He looks at her with a bigger smile!

"But i guess we both lost...since i too fell madly in love with you..."

The girl raises her head and with tear in her eyes whispers something only he could hear.

The time marked the end of the day, as the sun vanished beneath the horizon, leaving the two of them alone...
