A Poem by godmandistfu

I remember,
When I felt safe around you.
You were my security blanket.
Every moment I was with you I felt as if nothing could harm me.
What I did not realize was that it was the moments away from you that were hurting me the most.
The moments you could have spent with me if you would have just tried.
I meant hardly anything in your eyes.
When in mine, you were my everything.

That was a nice poem...it was simple but powerful.

Excellently written, and love the choice of words.
This makes me think of a child's first "love", or their parents who are never there - they looked to them for love and support but instead there was none and they were left alone.
Keep it up :)

This is beautiful love:)
The innocence of childhood years can be confusing, you are right.
This is a wonderful, concise poem. It also shows a learning process!
Great work
