Eyes of Death Glow

Eyes of Death Glow

A Poem by Andrew Robinson

Wind currents curve under my feet as I rise

Fire flashes in a dance around my body in a song of rhymes

Earth shakes beneath me, it knows I am strong

Water enlarges my muscles to frighten all who stay

Metal clasps upon me, making an armor of purity

Come at me, even with all you say

I am ready to face you my entity

Potent black sores up from far below

A wretched mask of white and gold shining

Then it spoke, I am the entity, you’ve found me, so I’ll let you know

I am the most dangerous of all, that the past has bestowed

You are foolish to face me in all my power, fall to your master or die and watch my wretched Eyes of Death glow

Grey Light flashed and my life was played out within a dream of my mind

The last line really caught my attention, as did the rest of the poem. Nice piece!
