                 Waves

She sat there and looked intently

In the place she was known to adore

Her mind would endlessly wander

As waves crashed up on the shore

I grab her hand and ask her

of the face that she silently wore

while she sat and stared at the ocean

as waves crashed up on the shore

She told me that this place was special

as it offered her some sort of cure

a break from a world full of heartache

as waves crashed up on the shore

And together we sat with a smile

from the ocean a soothing roar

And in the moment perfection

as waves crashed up on the shore
