The Eye Of The Beholder

The Eye Of The Beholder

A Poem by gobo

What do they tell, those simple eyes,
What story is behind them?
Have they known love, those pleasant eyes,
Or do they tell of mayhem?

Can they but sing, those piercing eyes,
Or are they more restrained?
Do they run free, those pleading eyes,
Or by some shackles chained?

Unobserved, those moving eyes,
Forever out of sight.
Never show fear, nor love, nor hate.
They just reflect your light.
