A Wasted DreamA Poem by goboIt's just a few thoughts about the frustration of wasted childhood dreams, and how the realities of growing up affect you.
A wasted dream
Ne'er followed through My faded fancy Now out of view A child's mind wanders Down all the routes It detours reason In well-worn boots Such young assumption It is soon dashed By spiteful rocks It's great hull gashed These imposing crags Placed by mans scope Steal from my soul It's child-like hope. © 2014 goboAuthor's Note
