Chapter 6 - SOSA Chapter by goblinsharkAfter getting the boxes to safe place, Wario
and Waluigi set the yoshis running away, so the guards had to catch them,
because otherwise they would’ve terrorized the village. They hid into tunnels
underground. Guards had not yet idea that there would’ve been tunnels for
illegal action. There was little room that had been built
for this meaning and now it would be under rough use. There was a small room
that had writing desk, self and some other cabinets and closets were things
could be hidden or kept. There was cold and lightless room for the food and in
the main room or bunker there was four bunk beds. We hid the guns under one
cabinet, which had secret door under it. The rebel group moved the cabinet back
to its place and sat to different spots where they found the most comfortable
place to sit at. Luigi felt dizzy. How did all of this
happen? Why there had to be a war? Thinking all of these happenings made Luigi
feel melancholic and guilty, after all they had started the war supposedly to
get free from under the rule of Queen Rosalina. Luigi turned his icy blue eyes
to his dear big brother Mario. Mario seemed so quiet, too quiet. He had not
been himself through these years. His cheerful, kind and playful side
personality had disappeared for a long time, but sometimes it peeked behind the
wall that was dangerously building up between the two twin brothers. Mario was
glum most of the days and his stare had turned sad and jaded. Always when Mario
had that look and he stared to one spot on a wall, on floor or some object, he
seemed so empty it hurt Luigi. It physically hurt Luigi. He always felt like
someone was squeezing his heart with their grim hands. Mario was heartbroken
over Peach and many times when he was drunk, he bled all his feelings, emotions
and problems to Luigi like waterfall. But after he told what was bothering him,
he always got happy and that was the most precious thing to Luigi. Seeing his
brother happy. Hell he would give his life to make Mario happy. But… nothing
could’ve been done. Mario looked his brother and as Luigi’s
face darkened from something he didn’t tell, it made Mario upset just like
Luigi. Mario couldn’t understand what had happened to their love and caring for
each other. They didn’t talk to each other like they used to. Did Luigi just
feel like it wasn’t appropriate to talk about problems at these years? But
Mario didn’t bother to ask even though it wouldn’t take much time. Daisy sat on the ground, her back against
the wall and she sighed. Why things had to be like this? She missed running out
in the forest and the fields with her friends and her people. Her land needed
her, but Rosalina had seen her as risk to help Toad Town’s people escape, so
she had been taken inside the borders against her will. Forever she had felt
like side kick. She was invited to parties and such, but no one seemed to care
about her. She stayed strong still, she didn’t need anyone else, but her
people. Sports kept her mind out of bad thoughts, but now when there wasn’t
many ways to keep condition healthy, melancholy and depression had taken tight
hold from the whole Toad Town. Every night was worse than the other. Thoughts
poured into Daisy’s mind and she had given up to them. She thought them and let
them roll around in her head through many nights, but some nights she had
turned off the lights and sneaked out to put her life to danger. She enjoyed
the feeling of being in danger. She ran near guards and many times past them,
to get them to chase her. She always got away. If this war was going to happen,
she would’ve fought until she’d die. Peach sat on the table and stared at the
grey ground. Six years. Six damn years had gone and she weren’t able to do
anything. She had been pushed off the throne and out from her very own castle.
And she hadn’t done anything. The guilt pressed her down, but she tried to
fight it. After this war she would be the one ruling the whole Mushroom
Kingdom. But she had…one problem. Mario. Mario held her back, because she was
fragile princess. It made Peach’s feelings bubble up, not good feelings. She
tried to hold many of them back, because she would’ve expressed them as
violence. She said mean things to Mario to get the heat off. But this side of
her had appeared after the takeover. Maybe it was because of all the worry and
pressure it had brought. “So… what’s going to happen now?” Luigi
almost whispered in the deadly silence. “A war Luigi… a war”, Mario said with a
lower and looked down more than ever. “Is this what we want? A war? About
what?” Luigi asked. He was done with the idea about the war. He didn’t like it.
He didn’t like the idea of innocents dying. “A war about FREEDOM. This is what
I WANT. We need it. THIS can’t go on. Rosalina makes all of us suffer, she
wants to keep us inside these stone walls. Keep us quiet. But I won’t stay
quiet. If you don’t want the war, you can obey. I won’t. I won’t die in this
controlled fucked up place. I will go out if not the easy way, then the hard
way”, Mario looked at Luigi. Luigi was speechless after this. Mario had the best
points that couldn’t be defeated. Luigi just nodded quietly and saw anger calm
to regret. “I-I’m sorry Luigi. I didn’t mean to be mean. Things aren’t alright
and…I just want to experience outside world once before I die”, Mario sighed
and looked at Luigi with his sorrowful eyes. Luigi felt his throat burning and
tears come up to his eyes, but he tried his best to hold them back. “I-it’s
okay. I-I…I just don’t enjoy that people die”, Luigi looked down. “Me neither
my little brother”, Mario answered. After resting and chatting in the little
bunker underground and they had to move to the castle because there was
telegraph that they would use to communicate with The Pacifist forces at the
other side. Ironically they were called pacifists because they were a group
that would take important role in the coming war. The Rebels used the underground tunnels to
not to get revealed. They got to the end of the tunnel and there was long
ladder to secret door on the floor. “I go first”, Peach said and started
climbing. Luigi noticed that Mario was checking out her a*s and he pushed him.
“Stop acting pervy”, he grimaced to Mario and Mario laughed. “Sheesh you guys…”
Daisy sighed. After about half an hour Peach came down.
“Let’s go”, she nodded and started climbing again. Luigi pointed the ladder
with his hands and looked Daisy with friendly smile. “Ladies first”, Daisy
blushed and chuckled. “Thank you~!” she bowed and started climbing. Mario poked
Luigi with his elbow, wiggled his eyebrows and grinned widely. Luigi showed his
tongue to Mario and climbed after the princesses. Mario followed his little
brother and soon they had climbed to machine room. Of course by its name it had
tons of giant machines that did all kinds of things. There were three green
little glowing creatures working. They had white and red long tip hats and they
looked busy. They had leather vests and brown baggy pants that ended under
their knees and then their leather boots started. All of them wore glasses and
they hurried with big rolled papers and different tools in their hands. “The telegraph is up and waiting. Be
careful”, one of the creatures said and kept working on whatever they were
doing. These creatures looked like the advisor; they had human like shape, but
they didn’t have mouths and their green skin glowed a faint green light. Peach led the Rebels to the telegraph and
all of them looked each other in front of this new machine. “Daisy was supposed
to know what to do”, Peach claimed and everyone turned to look at her, but she
just shook her head. “But you said!” Peach grinded her teeth together and Luigi
stopped her. “I can try”, Luigi looked Peach to her eyes and he saw confusion
and fright in her eyes. Finally she nodded and Luigi sat in front of the little
machine. One of the glowing stars came to explain how the telegraph worked and
after about half an hour or hour later they were done. The message had gone
forward. © 2017 goblinshark |
