To those who have said waitA Poem by EmJust wait, in a few years it will all be better, Just wait. I’m waiting, Just wait, in a few years you will understand, Just wait, I’m waiting. Maybe it won’t get better Maybe my feelings are real and not some fairy tail I made up for attention. Maybe I want to talk about them, I want your help pulling my soul from this quicksand. You see I am stuck. I have repressed them, Held them in, But now it is not me that is holding them in but them who is holding in me. Maybe I won’t understand I am lost in the dark with no way out I come to you shine to the light But all you do is break the bulb Maybe I am different Even if you think it’s so simple a baby could get it that is not a reason to make me feel stupid, or left out. Why don’t you see that? Maybe I am hurt You telling me I will change later makes me feel broken now. You telling me that I will understand later makes me fall deeper into the quicksand. So if you really love me toss me a rope, Turn on the light and guide me home. Stop telling me to wait. Help me now. Don’t say , Just wait, Because every time you say it I sink deeper in to the quicksand. I little more of my soul gone. Till one day it will have swallowed me hole never to be returned in this form. But if you really love me toss me a rope, Turn on the light and guide me home. Stop telling me to wait. Help me now. Because this is your last chance. © 2017 EmReviews
