Lipocanus Rex

Lipocanus Rex

A Poem by Paul Shannon

Perspiring along ceramic like a sweet morning dew

Perfidious desires for one so delectable as you

At the tip of the knife where the sunlight reflects

An open iris cleansed of all assumptions

And all of its effects

Just beyond reach of all human hands

The atom leash straining at all its commands

The conscious bruxism of Lipocanus Rex

Consume every fiber, every protein, every meat

Let slip the cleaver, hang it open, bon appétit!

I believe that's known as a pickwickian my friend! :)
well, okay....delectable does not necessarily mean just what the eye sees....get closer...consume, then...
let us rate as delectable or not...
sometimes i do think we need our eyes washed out....we see, we judge, we don't bother getting to know....visuals are just that...visuals...
but what is inside is where the money is at...the worth, the self-worth.
excellent, deep write.
