My Own

My Own

A Poem by gnarlym

You are goofy but all the while
regal
your eyes are melted sunshine,
yet also the ocean's temper
your hands are soft against my skin,
but rough when on their own
your gait is that of a simple man,
but also of a king
your crown is a backwards cap,
but made of gold to me.
If you were a king,
I'd follow you to fame,
but if you should be a poor man,
then I'd be poor the same

~~ very cute... charming... and adorable... and so refreshing... ~~ your love poems are very unlike typical love poems... and full of interesting surprises... and new images... such as in the expression "your crown is a backwards cap"...

~~ you're welcome...
I really love this. The way it's written has a really nice cadence when read, and the contrasts in each line paint lovely pictures.
