You judged me when I was just being me

You judged me when I was just being me

A Poem by Gnairn23
"

From a different perspective

"
You judged me when I was just being me
Now you are the motivation for me to be
As much as my true self as possible
Even if that means I’m insane in the  mental hospital

Because there is no such thing as normal or the contrary
Just don’t ask the people in the penitentiary
Because they were bad and have to be contained
But what about the souls judged mentally deranged

I stand up for all the mad ones sane in an insane society
All the ones who don’t tend towards mindless compliancy
we should thank these ones for taking us forward
Not lock them away in the mental ward

It is those who stand against the grain that are truly great
But all that these great ones get is the fate
Of being judged insane, crazy or mad
When these souls are the greatest we’ve ever had
