Freedom

Freedom

A Poem by Miss Sally Sunshine

As I sit upon his lonely rock

waiting for the sorrow

to lower it's head and chose

another victim

I wait and wait, nothing happens

I plan to take a dip

with some rocks strapped

to my shoe

As I jump into the bone chilling water

I start to sink, and think

about my life and all the fun

times I've had

I look down and I take the rocks off my shoes

and swim to the surface

I'm finally free.

Author's Note

Miss Sally Sunshine
I just happened to come by this poem when I was flipping through an old notebook. I wrote this poem in fourth grade. I didn't change anyhting, except for the format. When I actually wrote the poem it looked like a paragraph XD I hope you enjoyed it!
