I was sitting in my backyard reading/texting my friend when inserpation struck and I wrote most of these, but Syd helped me with some XD

Sunshined Grass

 

Oh warm sunshined grass

The perfect reading spot

Oh warm sunshined grass

 

Little Basketball

 

That silly little basketball

Always waiting for the perfect fall

Through that very small black hoop

Always going through, in an endless loop

Ah that silly little basketball

Waiting for the perfect fall

 

Pretty Yellow Flowers

 

LIttle yellow flowers, oh so bright

It's as if you've caught a little bit of sunlight

Your pretty little petals blowing

As smotthly as a peom flowing

Pretty little ligth fowers, oh so yellow

You could make the whole word a little more mellow

 

Lilac Flower

 

Little lilac flower

All purple and white, you cower

Behind the tall green grass

You're pretty but you're all sass

You're a weed, creeping in

While we were sleeping

You silly little plant

Hide forever? You can't.

We will find you.

Come on, you knew.

Leave little lilac flower

For no longer can you cower

 

Four Dirty Holes

 

Four dirty holes

Each harboring moles

You want to be filled up,

But we don't have a cup

So the lucky moles

Stay in the dirty holes

It seems that you are writing just to make rhymes. Some of the rhymes are clever but in forcing the rhymes you are losing some of the meaning. I think you should take on a more challenging topic and think of something profound to say about that and let the rhymes show up where they naturally occur.

I love the simple, carefree nature of these...those lucky little moles! I wrote a poem about a hedgehog for my friend in England. You obviously enjoy having fun and that's GREAT! Keep up the good work.
