You try to change me.

To bring me down to you.

 

Well, I won't go.

I am me, and that's that.

 

You don't like me.

Because I'm not like you.

 

You make people hurt.

I make people better again.

 

You try to change me.

I will never let myself be changed.

 

You don't like me.

Because I'm not like you.

 

You build people up.

Just so you can watch them fall.

 

I mend those people.

They didn't deserve what you did. 

 

You don't like me.

Because I'm not like you. 

 

You try to make people upset.

I try to spread happiness to everyone.

 

You want everyone to worship you.

I want everyone to be equal, and not have to hide in your shadow.

 

You don't like me.

Because I'm not like you.

 

Everyone deserves to be happy.

Including you.

"You don't like me because I'm not like you" What a great line of truth! I like the flow of the poem and the message it delivers. Uncompromising and unapologetic. I like the end though it felt a little disjointed. It shows you truly aren't like him/her. Just looking for a little less abruptness at the end.
