Suspicion

Suspicion

A Chapter by Miss Sally Sunshine

Ava and I headed to the park, we walked because we couldn't ride our skateboards dressed like this.

It took us an hour to get there bby foot, but, oh, it was worth it.

Luca was there, had he had his shirt off.

He had the hottest bod in the history of hot bods! He had a six pack, and every other muscule imaginably.

"Oh my God. I want him, and he will be mine." Ava growled

I started to blush with anger. No, Ava couldn't have him, he was mine, mine. Anger coursed through me and my whole body heated up. I was sure I was as red as a tomato, and I felt like I was on fire.

"Hey!" Ava yelled at me.

She laid her hand on my arm and I heard a sizzled.

Ava wrenched her had back. "What the crap is wrong with you?! You just heated up my hand! Nobody or nothing has every been able to do that for me. Ever."

"Ava," I whispered, "I feel really hot. My head's dizzy." I started to teeter back and forth on my feet.

My head was filled with the heat. I couldn't think or see straight. Red clouded my vision. I was on fire. I was burning everywhere.

I couldn't see anything. Nothing. I could feel myself wobbling father forward, and father backward.

Then my feet slipped.

I didn't think in the 3 seconds it took me to hit the ground.

I don't even remember the pain, because there was no pain. I just remember the burning fire that was racing through my body, my veins. My veins were filled with lava, and it was coursing through my body.

But the strange part was. It didn't hurt. I know it should hurt, and I described it as burning, and it was, but I didn't feel any pain.

I lay on the ground for what felt like a while, but was really only a couple of seconds. I was thinking about Luca and Nolan and Ava, but mostly I was thinking about how I did this to myself.

Then I hear sizzling. I felt my body cooling slightly. I was waking up a little bit. The red haze was fading a little bit from my brain, and my eyes.

I was able to see a little bit. I could hear people yelling my name. I could feel hands on either side of my face.

I could tell my head was cushioned on something. There were also hands on my arms, moving up to my neck, cooling me as the went.

The cold hands moved to my face, pushing the other hands out of the way.

I could hear someone whispering in m ear. "Sweetheart. Jada, sweetie. Come on. Come on back."

The thumbs of the cool hands brushed over my eyelids. Ah, my eyelids, that's where they were. My eyelids fluttered open.

I saw three pairs of eyes. Ice blue, green, and gray.

The ice blue and green eyes were filled with worry and fear, but the gray eyes were filled with suspicion.

"Where did you learn to do that?" the gray eyes asked.

"Do what?" I whisphered.

But the gray eyes turned to Ava, but she didn't look at him. "Where did you learn to freeze llike that."

"I don't know," mumbled Ava, not really paying attention, "I've always been cold."

"Hi Ava." I whispered.

"Hi Jada." she whispered back.

I looked back up at the green eyes. "Hiya kiddo." Nolan sighed. "Glad you're back. You had us worried."

"hmmm." I sighed. "I'm still really hot, though."

Ava got a crazy look in her eyes. She pulled my into a tight hug, and laid her cheek on mine. I was sizzling again. I realized then that she was still cooling me, just by touching me.

Nolan's hand was stroking my hair, content on just touching me.

I looked over into the gray eyes that belonged to Luca. His eyes were still tight with suspicion. He just stared at me.

"We have to talk." he whispered.

Love it! I like how the plotline is moving. :)

Definately like it. I, unlike our friend Lizzard here, think that the plot is moving fine. I'd hate to be stuck in the boring introductions and go right into the actiony part. Wonderful!

Liked it, but didn't hate it. Everything was moving a little too fast. Slow the plot down a little bit.
