Overcoming those moments of anxiety

I am constantly reminded by the daylight

just how dark the night can really be for me.

Taken aback by the changes in the who of the moment,

Feeling as if an entity took over my soul.

Drifting far into the distance,

screaming inside but my smile hides the angst.

I have no desire to feed into your negativity,

no desire to lose myself in the clouds you create.

You're an unwanted feeling that I am constantly battling.

Most nights I win

some days you take away.
