Inside of Us

Inside of Us

A Poem by Aysia
"

a free verse I wrote. enjoy.

"
People walk upon this street,
Many emotions plague them.
Love, hatred, grief, joy,
So many emotions among us.

I have heard a many say,
God helps those who help themselves.
But they've forgotten the trivial man,
Who rests deep inside ourselves.

...Lonely, anxious, forgotten he is,
Buried beneath our folds of pride.
We will find rest and peace assured,
When we learn to leave him behind.
