Battle of the LightsA Poem by AysiaA poem about the battle between good and evil.Battle
of the Lights There is a
beam of light, shining through my window, It comes in,
sneaking in, scaring the darkness away. The Darkness
scrambles for a weapon, a point, or club In my
cluttered room, cornered, shaking, plagued with fear.
The Light scrambles
forward, hissing at its opponent, While the Darkness
lunches forward, flying forward, teeth bared. They
scramble and they fight; biting, clawing, yelping, Trying to
defeat the other, a flickering of the lights.
The darkness
is on the upper hand, his mangled paws around Light’s neck As he pushes
downward, painfully downward"for I’m afraid Light will meet his death! But no! Do
not worry, for the light sprints quickly, flipping upward, tossing Darkness
onto His worn old
back, which gives out with a snap, and light stands victorious, his foot on The
Darkness’ neck, Pushing
downward, Painlessly
downward.
For the Darkness has been defeated and he has
finally met his death. And now our
future will forever be bright, Radiantly
bright, Since the better
man won The Battle of the Lights. © 2012 AysiaAuthor's Note
