Bricks

Bricks

A Poem by glorygrace&gold
"

to reaching goals

"

Bits, bricks, chunks and stones.

Building, climbing, blocking bones.

A light seeks reach but can't be followed.

No way through when through is solid.

Thinking, trying, seeing, nodding.

What should work won't work as modding.

Problems build; no side's will slide.

It's hard to help when help's denied.

Tumbling over bricks and bits,

a journey's right for no one's fit,

but one can make with one's desire,

if this one's tried to climbing's higher.

very interesting work. The use of the rhythm and rhyme in this piece is wonderful. You captured my attention to a point where I had to read this out loud to really take it all the way in. I even read it twice. This reminds me a little of the writings of Emily Dickinson. She was quite good at taking abstract subject matter and writing it in a way which made sense to her. The beauty of it is that it meant something different to every person to read her work. This seems to me like a journey, but it may have been something entirely different to you.

Nice work. Way to make me think. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Romans 8:24-27 says this: For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see we eagerly wait for .. more..
