Leaking Sorrow

Leaking Sorrow

A Poem by glorygrace&gold

religion

"

He is the reason that so many fight,

crusaders, no later, that break out through night.

Unfortunate are we, that none understand,

although He is Father, that he is not man.

Nor woman is He, that He refuses to look down.

In his eyes, we are equal, from sky to the ground.

do they not see?  This life cannot be!

that religion is not evil, not one to be blamed.

we are the traitors who slashed His good name.

Who is this God?  Whose desire for peace must be so?

so much that He sent His good son to and fro.

To save all the people, whose selfish behavior

so wicked, so witch-like, that He could not just stand.

To sour the skies and watch over the land.

We were too busy to see, that the fight will not end.

So His sorrow to leak, and hearts left to mend.

Too busy to notice the enmity in me,

so as God will not hate, but watch with pity.

To fight over what He has sent us to do,

is silly to me, and you know its just too.

Sadly, we know it will not end our fierce fray,

so off to your children and head home for the day.
