Ice

Ice

A Poem by glorygrace&gold

I'm wasting my breath,

and I'm wasting away,

two lives I can threaten,

is too many a day.

Ice is a monster,

I'm up and I'm down,

it's like breathing in water,

and one day I will drown.

I've lost all my friends,

they've all gone their own way,

I feel like I'm no where,

there's not much I can say.

My family has dumped me,

there's not much I can do,

but ruin their lives,

for me and for you.

I can't take care of my children,

I've scared them away,

the ice, the meth,

in time I'll decay.

But I'll still be alive,

a monster outside,

though breathing and bleeding,

a part of me died.

This poem is actually a call for help. When parents can't take care of their children it is not because they don't want to - it is because they need a help, too. This was a wonderful poem, I loved it. I hope, she finds her middle soon. That's my wish for her. Thanks Kelsey sending the poem my way.

It's dark at points but shows strength among weakness. The writing is quite good....great, actually. Sad and hurtful, but amazingly composed and presented. Well done.

Romans 8:24-27 says this: For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see we eagerly wait for .. more..
