Wendesday five O'clock (Debbie)A Poem by Joseph LaBargean experience of young loveYou smile at me when I come in And I just wan to let go of everything But instead I ignore you And stare into the corner Pretending not to notice you Sitting there So perfectly I shift Trying not to breath to loudly Hoping that you will love me But not knowing how I pretend to read out of a book on the corner of the table Trying to avoid eye contact You get up to leave And I try to act busy Waiting for you to finish me You stop by my chair Putting your hand on my shoulder I shiver But pretend not to notice you touching me After a minute you say good bye and leave I wait five minutesgo into the bathroom and slam my head into the wall until i cant feel you anymore © 2011 Joseph LaBarge |
