PorcelainA Poem by Joseph LaBarge
Staring hard/
at broken glass/ wonder how/ you'll make it last/ never knew/ just what you had/ was so breakable so thin/ like porcelain// all alone/ upon your shelf/ so untouchable/ by everyone else/ crying softly/ there you fell/ so breakable/ so thin/ like porcelain/ and shattering/ upon the floor/ you saw what/ you haven't before/ it left you feeling/ oh so torn/ so breakable/ so thin/ like porcelain/ and now you show/ hiding scars/ at least you found out/ who you are/ never knew/ you had a heart/ so breakable/ so thin/ like porcelain/ © 2011 Joseph LaBarge |
