As a Summer Day

As a Summer Day

A Poem by Botania

As I just peruse the sky
world of vapor floating by...
I'll remember things you said
whispered, laughed, and enter-ed

into a pact that friends will make
a silent pact as silence brakes
I remember how you smile
trace the lines mile after mile
Sun shines down from heaven's gate
thinking now of friends we make
Running through the summer's green
what we know is all we've seen
Under willow 'cross the pond
lies in lush the summer's fawn

vines that shimmer o'er the lake

swing in breeze the summer makes

A quiet place in which to ponder
warmth where e'er we go and wander.

wonderful poem of friendship...love the imagery...

"then we will remember things we said today" (Beatles)

reminds me of that "someday when i'm dreaming, wishing you weren't so far away, then i will remember things we said today"

and i will ponder quietly.
