Tree Stands Alone

Tree Stands Alone

A Poem by Botania
"

.

"
In the center of riparian forest
grows a tree put there for us
tall as can be and all alone
lushest leaves on which is grown
the sweetest fruit ever known
the allure of which to us is shown,
Branches reach, so tall, so strong
which we can see, so broad, so long.
I'll never know the arm's embrace.
A tree's a tree and stays in place.

I like this a lot. Seeing and wanting, but just knowing...one unique tree stands alone amongst others surronding, specially planted there, staying firmly in place, drawn to it but you can't touch it, although attracted to the fruit it offers.
