Taking Away LibertyA Poem by Botania.
You take away my liberty
the minute your dog begins to pee upon my unsuspecting lawn where barefoot feet are want to trod. You take away my liberty every time your dog will pee in my classroom on the floor as you then hide, run out the door. You take away my liberty every time you slander me untruths abound for evil's sake stranger bedfellows will they make. You take away my liberty by not upholding laws, you see... Liberty's just my right to be but ALL IS LOST WHEN RESPECT IS FLEET You take away our liberty by not caring or cherishing all we have and all it means to be the sons and daughters, free. You take away my liberty inserting your reality upon our Constitution's breast. We'll lose it all. You know the rest.
