Bright Red

Bright Red

A Poem by Botania
"

..

"
How grows the rose
so strong and tall?
Too tall to prune
when you are small.
How sharp the thorns
and prickly be?
So careful still,
but needn't be.
The rose still draws
the red of blood
upon my wrist
above the glove.
Bright red it flows
so close to call
where life but flows
for one and all.

i have not grown love well in my life....my garden weeds too easily and too often...i am left with much less than a green thumb...and living alone...just me and the empty flower pot.

Ah Jacob! May your garden bloom in all its wonder, words of whom replete in splendor.
I have a rule - well its more like an adage to cover up for my poor gardening skills and DIY skills (not that Im suggesting you have poor proficiency in either Botania - not at all) - anyway, I was saying, the adage - 'If you don't bleed doing a job where blood can be easily lost then you aren't giving it your 'all'.
Well okay - busted - its not even an adage - its more like a very flawed thought process ;p

I enjoyed this and know where you are coming from so so much with this writing.
Well done.
