Lark's Song

Lark's Song

A Poem by Botania
"

.

"
Early 'fore the break of dawn
the chipper lark will carry on
echoing his voice refrain
through the valley, hill, and plain.

He calls to me for which it be
my name he knows and sings replete
of flowers that will bloom in Spring
and all the Earth, what it will bring!

He understands the thicket dense
the underbrush, and what lies hence.
He shares the gentleness of rain
within his heart, a sweet refrain.
