Frozen Rain

Frozen Rain

A Poem by Botania
"

"
Water of an Earthly kind
pelts the frozen ground
still will make the Easter time
green with flowers 'round.

Little seeds depend on thee
waiting in the soil.
Moisture helps no matter form
frozen, liquid, hail.

Lily on the edge of hill
drinks as roots will swell.
Moisture is as moisture gives
life to us as well.

So no matter that the rain is frozen
as it hits the Earth,
beauty lies beneath all knows that
magic lies in dirt!

A cool horticultural piece with delightful imagery here Botania documenting the coming changes of the seasons and how rain now pays dividends later - can also be a metaphor for living - nurture is important if we want to see our flowers bloom.
I liked this refreshing poem and the loose rhyming also adds a touch of wildness too :)
