My Window Candle

A silent love out in the night

window candle burning bright

I feel your wanting and it's right

Loving you and I feel light...

Light like clouds up in the sky

wandering earth, wondering why

asking why my luck may be

the luckiest luck that's ever seen!

Just knowing you gives me enough

each step I take will bring me luck!

I know you now and it's enough

Just thinking, 'how?' This thing called love...

A skip, a step, a two-a-day smile

will cross my lips a little while.

For there's a gift, a soul that bears

the mark of love as one who cares.

Lightness now will find me here

and while I live life's cherished tear

will fall so freely down my face

At last I've found a soul of grace!

May your candle always light

the way for me as you burn bright

I'll carry every ounce of care

deep in my heart as if you're there.

For in my heart you'll always be

the candle burning bright for me

I'll love you 'til the days are gone

but even then, for love lives on.

Candle of my heart you give

a life of love that lets me live

our purpose in a rain soaked world

to give the warmth of love, unfurled.

Candle of my soul burn bright

for in your love I see the light

Thank you ... doing all that's right

to cherish through the darkest night.

there is such emotion in this piece....one suggestion...
i would make it two poems....because the first stanza makes a terrific poem on its own....
