The DamnedA Poem by GlennAbout people who seem to take pleasure in hurting others!I lie in this bed of nails Head rest wearily on a pillow of thorns The words you breathe cut deep into my soul I lie here fading, wilting, tormented by hurt My very existence swallowed by pain You’ve taken what I once was Burned it with unrelenting flame Smoldering ash of what we once were The only thing left for me to see My world grows dark, hope fades away You left me here to die Left me struggling to breathe Only words I can utter “why, why, why” Consumed by this bed of nails Smothered by the pillow of thorns My world now black, hope ripped away Life as I knew it, buried with regret Emotional murder comes easily for you Glaring back at pieces of a man, as you walk out the door Pleased with your efforts, wicked smile on your face Off to the next victim of your malicious ways © 2011 GlennFeatured Review
