The Game

The Game

A Poem by Glenn
"

The dangers of a risk!

"

Hello there young man

Let’s play a little game

I’ll tell you who I am later

Right now you need not know my name.

Take my deal, pray for fortune and luck,

Win or lose, with the outcome you are stuck,

Win this game and forever be blessed

With everything you wish for, and eternal happiness.

Beware young man, if you lose my game,

You’ll forever be tormented,

By total heartache, gut wrenching pain

So here is your hand, flip it over, and good luck!

By the way young man,

Let me introduce myself,

My name is

LOVE!

A unique view on the double edged sword that love can be. It can be a great thing that enters into a life, and makes life actually worth living. On the other hand, love can destroy many things in our life that we really love. It can create a huge depression. Your poem demonstrates that very well.

yes yes, wonderful view on love....the game of love is always taking on chance, and the consequence of losing is your heart! Such a good analogy. I enjoyed this very much

I had a sneaking suspicion the culprit here
was none other than love, mid reading.
Very nice piece.
Keep writing!
